Merry Christmas To All

Merry Christmas Eve To All 2019

I can’t believe another year sailed by so quickly. It seems the older I get, the faster time flies. I’ve really neglected this site so I thought it was time to give a recap of some of my 2019 highlights as we head into 2020 and get a start on trying to post regularly on here again.

I’ve got new pets; 2 parakeets, 2 lovebirds, and, a kitten who is now enormous. To recap, I now have a beta (yes still, he’s doing great), an aquarium of mainly guppies but other fish as well, a chihuahua named Peanut, a mean cat named Chelsea, a new cat named Hood Cat (there is a story behind that name, he showed up in the hood of my daughters car when she came to see me.  We heard meowing and opened it up and out popped a very frightened kitty), a parakeet named Baby and a parakeet named Blue, a lovebird named Dorothy and a lovebird named Sophia.

I fractured my spine where I had my surgery (weak bones). That was a painful experience. The term for it is “Compression Fracture.” Because my bones are so weak, they crack even when I’m not doing anything strenuous. In this instance, I was getting up from a sitting position, and the next thing I knew, I had extreme pain following a loud CRACK.

I started a new blog about my life in apartment 8a. It’s more of a personal blog about DIY projects, recipes, family life, and more.

I just completed my Christmas Gift Guide on Shabby Chic Boho. I have some fun products that I highly recommend for Christmas or gifts for any occasion.  Mainly there are tons of kids gift ideas.

I’ve not put in the time I had hoped on my website at Terri’s Little Haven although towards the end of the year I started turing that around. It’s my first and longest owning blog. I have a lot of plans for it for 2020.

My grandson, Tyler, got his license last year and he is now an official driver. He just turned 17. I’m feeling a bit old this year.

My granddaughter, Alyssa, now has to wear glasses. She got her learners license this year and next month she will also be a new driver. That’s 2 grandkids with glasses; Alyssa and Halle. Yikes.

My grandson Tyler had his braces removed, and now my grandson Avery has braces. Those pretty smiles are going to turn heads.

My favorite neighbors moved but I have wonderful new neighbors and I still hang out with my previous neighbors, all the time. This is the third neighbor I’ve had since moving here. My first neighbors moved to a different apartment here, a disability apartment.

I turned a year older of course. This is the first time I feel my age. I think it’s the combined increased pain I have had to deal with this year and my aging slower moving body that’s causing it.

All of my kids and grandkids made it to my Thanksgiving meal at my new apartment. It was the first time I was able to get them all together at the same time at my apartment. We usually spend Thanksgiving with the entire family, from near and far.  This year I decided to cook myself.

I’ve already celebrated Christmas and handed out gifts with family and friends so I plan to sleep in tomorrow morning, do some light cleaning which is an every day ordeal when you have pets. I’m not going to cook up a big dinner because we are celebrating with dinner on a later date when I could get all of the kids together.  So basically, Christmas 2019 will feel like any other day of the year.  Except of course, it’s Jesus’s Birthday which is the biggest deal of any year.

It sounds like I’ve had a boring year, lol. Hopefully, 2020 will bring more exciting highlights.

Spread the love
